National Special Education Congress
The National Special Education Congress (UÖEK) is one of the most established scientific events in the field of special education in Turkey. First launched in 1991 in memory of Assoc. Prof. Mitat Enç under the name Special Education Days, this scientific gathering has evolved over the years to become one of the most important academic platforms in the field of special education.
The National Special Education Congress aims to bring together academics, researchers, teachers, and graduate students working in the field of special education to strengthen scientific knowledge sharing, support the relationship between research and practice, and contribute to the discussion of current developments in the field.
The 36th National Special Education Congress will be held in Erzurum between October 21–24, 2026, hosted by the Department of Special Education, Kazım Karabekir Faculty of Education, Atatürk University.
