All abstracts submitted to the National Special Education Congress will be evaluated through a double-blind peer review process in terms of scientific quality, originality, and alignment with the congress theme.
Preliminary Review Process
Abstracts will first be reviewed technically by the Organizing Committee.
The following criteria are checked at this stage:
- Compliance with submission guidelines
- Compliance with word count limits
- Relevance to the congress theme
- Adherence to the blind review principle
- Compliance with ethical rules
Abstracts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the authors with a request for revision without being sent to the peer review process.
Peer Review Process
Abstracts that pass the preliminary review will be evaluated by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the field.
During the evaluation process:
- Author and reviewer information is kept confidential.
- Reviewers cannot access author information.
- Authors cannot see reviewer information.
- All evaluations are conducted in accordance with scientific criteria.
If deemed necessary, a third reviewer may be consulted.
Evaluation Criteria
Abstracts will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
Scientific Quality
The research is based on a scientific foundation and is methodologically adequate.
Originality
The study offers a new contribution to the field.
Methodological Appropriateness
The research design and analysis methods are appropriate for the stated purpose.
Clarity of Findings
Findings are presented clearly and understandably.
Contribution to the Field
The study provides a theoretical or practical contribution to the field of special education.
Alignment with the Theme
The study’s relevance to the congress theme.
Academic Writing Quality
The text complies with academic writing standards.
Evaluation Outcomes
Based on the peer review results, abstracts will be decided under the following categories:
- Acceptance
- Acceptance with revisions
- Redirection to poster presentation
- Rejection
***The Scientific Committee reserves the right to change the presentation type of the abstract in accordance with program balance.

Ethical Declaration
All submitted studies are considered to comply with scientific research and publication ethics.
When necessary:
- Ethics committee approval
- Data usage permission
- Participant consent
may be requested from the authors.
